Biography
Alessandra Asta was born in Milan in 1968. She obtained a degree in “Commercial Art” at the American College in London, and then specialised in Computer Graphics at St. Martins School of Art and at the Royal College of Printing & Design.

In 1992 she obtained a diploma in “Basic skills of Counselling & Psychotherapy” from Regent’s College in London and in 1995 she got a degree in Applied Psychology at London Guildhall University. She has worked as a volunteer in a shelter for abused women. She took part in an avant-garde project, initially called “Place 2 Be” and then “Kid’s company” providing Art Therapy and Play Therapy to junior schools in the London suburbs.

The project was particularly aimed at children suffering with emotional, physical and material disabilities and had the aim of providing the kind of support that could help them avoid more serious issues. This experience provided her with the chance of working with specialised therapists from the Anna Freud Centre and the Tavistock Centre. Moving back to her home town she was employed by a web graphics studio which was also involved in the production feature films and advertising.

She thus gained experience in different areas and became production coordinator for important films including: “Secret Passage” with J. Turturro (2002), “The Merchant of Venice” with A. Pacino e J. Irons (2003), “Quelque Jour En Septembre” with J. Binoche, J. Turturro and N. Nolte (2005)…
She currently lives and works in Venice.
